The Bridge2PT team understands that the hustle and bustle of life and limited access to quality healthcare can sometimes get in the way of taking charge of your own health. With Bridge2PT, we are excited to be part of a solution that can fit into your life exactly how you want and need it.
Rose and Jeff were raised in Huntington Beach, California. They have known each other since high school and recently started a family, welcoming their son Hendrix to the world in 2016. Excited to start the next chapter of their lives, they were hit with news that Hendrix was going to be born with multiple physical abnormalities due to an undiagnosed genetic condition. This is when their journey together truly began.
While Hendrix was the love of his parents’ lives, he had an uphill battle from the start. Hendrix Christopher was born in July of 2016 and immediately rushed to the NICU. Over the next year, he braved challenge after challenge and as a strong little fighter, always pulled through. Through trying their best to provide the love and support their son needed, Rose and Jeff gained a new perspective on the important things in life and gratefully recognized the special support they received from their family, friends, and medical teams. Two of these special people were Charlotte and Brittany; Hendrix’s physical therapist (PT) and occupational therapist (OT). With Hendrix being immunocompromised and already having 4 to 7 medical appointments per week, it was a great blessing to have his PT and OT in the comfort of his own home.
Hendrix battled for his life and unfortunately lost his fight on August 1, 2017. He will forever be missed, but his parents learned many lessons during his short and love filled life. One of these lessons was how important convenient in-home medical care is. While some people have difficulty making it to an outpatient PT clinic and others may just like the convenience of having a qualified practitioner come to them, both Rose and Jeff believed that this service should be offered to all so that everyone can receive the quality and convenient medical care they need and deserve. Bridge2PT, a concierge Physical Therapy service, was ultimately born based on this heartfelt belief.
Even though Collin and Kate grew up only miles apart in Westlake Village, California, it wasn’t until life took them around the world and back that their paths finally crossed.
As Collin completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and began a career in outpatient orthopedics, together they embarked on their most ambitious adventures yet, marriage and starting a family. While both Collin and Kate were used to managing their own developing careers, having “two under two” at home, in addition to their full time positions, gave them a whole new understanding of the word busy.
They quickly realized that accrued personal time off (PTO) was used almost exclusively for sick kids and days without childcare, leaving little time for their own self-care. As they worked to help develop Bridge2PT, the idea of having a medical professional come to their home or business at a time of their choosing became an obvious answer for busy families like theirs.
