Yes. All Physical Therapists, as part of the state licensure process, are required to undergo Live Scan background checks. This technique and technology transmits fingerprints to the Department of Justice to check against known criminal history records.
All Physical Therapists are required to complete 30 continuing education units every 2 years. This requirement includes training in the most recent evidence based treatments, legal and ethical obligations, and maintaining a current CPR certification.
We require a 12 hour notice of cancellation prior to your appointment time in order to help our PT’s plan their day and allow other patients the opportunity to book in that time slot. If you cancel within the 12 hour window, you will be charged a $30 cancellation fee. If you do not show up to your appointment you will be charged the full appointment fee.
At your appointment time, your selected Physical Therapist will come to your desired location for a full hour one-on-one treatment session. While all of our Physical Therapists are in control of developing their own treatment plans, your session will include an “all inclusive” approach to meet your goals.
Bridge2PT does not submit billing information to your insurance company. However, a superbill template is provided on the website and your therapist will be able to complete this form for you to submit to your insurance company.
California law under AB1000 allows licensed Physical Therapists to provide direct physical therapy evaluation and treatment services for a period of up to 45 calendar days or 12 visits, whichever occurs first. If you require additional treatment outside of these guidelines, you will need a doctor’s prescription to continue Physical Therapy care.
Current Medicare guidelines do not allow medical practitioners to provide skilled Physical Therapy intervention to Medicare subscribers for cash payment until Medicare benefits have been exhausted. Please contact a Medicare representative for more information on how you might be able to access our services.
No equipment is needed for your appointment. Please show up for your appointment in comfortable clothes that allow for full range of movement and assessment of your requested treatment area.
