Dr. Kara Everhart is a Ventura native who graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Mount St. Mary’s University following her Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, Northridge.
Kara continued her post-doctoral education with an orthopedic residency through HealthCare Partners Medical Group in The South Bay. While completing her residency, Kara has continued to expand her areas of expertise by completing the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI) teacher training program, learning to integrate specific Pilates principles into sport and spine rehabilitation. Within the physical therapy profession, Kara has found her passion in women’s health and is currently pursuing a further specialty in pelvic floor dysfunction through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Kara uses an integrated approach to provide each patient with an individualized wellness program through a full body movement science methodology. Her mission is to guide patients through rehabilitation, helping them maintain or return to an active lifestyle.
In her free time Kara enjoys traveling, volleyball, baking, and hiking with her husband and their German Shepherds.
